Hoist the Jolly Rodger for a swashbuckling adventure on the high seas!
After their sell-out performance in 2015, Promac Productions is back with their unique version of the classic Gilbert and Sullivan musical The Pirates of Penzance. This swashbuckling performance is sure to have you singing along to the show’s smash hits and rolling in the aisles with a cast of six talented performers.
The stellar cast is led by musical theatre star Philip Gould as the Pirate King, veteran comic baritone Brian Hannan as the Major General and the Police Sergeant, international soprano Alison Jones as Mabel, Opera Australia mezzo soprano Caroline Vercoe as Ruth, Chris McKenna as Frederic and Dominic Woodhead as the musical director on piano.
A true musical comedy is what lies ahead with the pirates clashing swords and trading barbs in this modern take on a timeless classic – complete with Donald Trump additives! I am a Pirate King, A Policeman’s Lot is Not a Happy One, With Cat Like Tread and Poor Wandering One are just a few of the hit songs beautifully performed in this hilarious production.
